An Oxnard man has been indicted on federal charges in connection with the robbery of a Security Pacific Bank in early November, FBI officials said.

Gary William Cameron, 36, was charged Tuesday by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles with the Nov. 6 robbery of the Security Pacific Bank at 606 N. Ventura Road, officials said.

The indictment resulted from an investigation by the FBI after two men robbed the same Security Pacific branch on Oct. 6. Cameron was identified by members of the public after a photograph of the pair ran in local newspapers on Nov. 3, FBI officials said.

Cameron was arrested by Oxnard police on Nov. 6 after another robbery of the same Security Pacific branch. Cameron fit a description provided to police by bank employees. Police recovered the stolen money and arrested Cameron on armed robbery charges.

If convicted, Cameron faces a maximum of 20 years in jail and a $5,000 fine.
