Holiday Closings

Today is Thanksgiving. The following will be closed today and Friday in observance of the holiday:

All city, county, state and federal offices.

Courts: County, state and federal courthouses.

Libraries: City and county libraries except Newport Beach, which will have normal hours on Friday.

Banks: Banks and savings and loans will be closed today. Some savings and loans also will be closed Friday. Check with your branch to confirm.

Schools: All school classes and offices, including those at colleges and universities.

Mail: There will be no mail delivery today. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.

Trash: There will be no trash pickup by city or county refuse workers today. Trash pickups will be a day late for the rest of the week in unincorporated areas of the county and in most cities, with the exception of Fullerton. In Fullerton, residents with trash pickup today should put their trash out Friday.

Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on a limited schedule today and return to their regular schedule on Friday.
