WEST COUNTY : Oxnard : Teen-Ager Shot by Unknown Assailant
An Oxnard teen-ager suffered a broken leg early Sunday after being hit by gunfire from an unknown assailant, Oxnard police said.
Trevor Lofland, 19, was in stable condition at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard late Sunday with a fracture to his thighbone, a nursing supervisor said.
He was standing in the area of 5th and Meta streets in south Oxnard around 3:15 a.m. when he was hit by a single bullet fired by someone in a brown van, police reported.
Police had no suspects in the shooting.
