OUTLOOK Although he’s in his first year at the helm, Wolf is pulling no punches when it comes to predictions about the Academy League. “In the league, there is very little threat to us,” Wolf said. “The other coaches will probably love that, huh?” Probably not. Unfortunately for the rest of the league, the C-Hawks have the talent to back up Wolf’s assessment. A year ago, they were unbeaten in league play. Gone are stars Stacey Walker and Ellen Eberhard, but Wolf sees no overall drop-off. “This year, we don’t have the superstar-type personality. We have eight girls who can really play basketball. As a team, I think we play well. We’re better maybe than last year.” Heading the list of top players is Jordahl, whom Wolf expects will do the bulk of the scoring inside. She averaged seven points last season and was an all-league, second-team selection. Also scoring inside should be Geiger and Hastings. Getting them the ball will be Jorgensen, the point guard. “We’ll run a fast-break offense and use a lot of ball movement,” Wolf said. While Wolf fully expects the C-Hawks to win the league title, he actually isn’t totally writing off the competition. “Historically, Liberty Christian is a threat. So is St. Margaret’s,” Wolf said. “Our goal is to take the league championship.”
