Man Stabbed in Robbery Attempt
SANTA ANA —
A 29-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday night after he was stabbed during a robbery attempt.
Juan Avelino, a Santa Ana resident, was walking home from a bus stop about 7 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Bush Street when the attack occurred, Police Sgt. Dick Faust said.
Police said Avelino was confronted by five men who demanded money from him, then stabbed him in the back and the side.
