Aided by police dogs, officers captured two Los Angeles area men and two youths shortly after they invaded a home and fled on foot, officers reported.

Sgt. Roger Scharf said the invasion occurred about 9:30 p.m. Friday at a home in the 1200 block of South Flower Street.

He said the four suspects forced their way into a house while brandishing “various types of guns.” They fled on foot after seizing an undisclosed amount of property from the house, Scharf said.

Family members were terrorized by the intruders, said Scharf, who wasn’t certain how many people were inside the home during the incident.

Scharf said neighbors spotted the incident and alerted police. Officers rushed to the scene with police dogs, and a yard-to-yard search ensued, Scharf said.

The dogs tracked down the suspects and all four suffered minor bites for which they were treated and released at a local hospital, Scharf said.

The two arrested youths, both 17, are from Los Angeles and were not identified because they are juveniles. The other two were identified as Roger Soriano, 20, of Los Angeles and Carlos Gomez Hernandez, 18, of Carson.

Scharf said all four were charged with robbery and burglary. He said two handguns were seized and all of the stolen property was recovered.
