Venice Duck Kill

* Regarding the most recent killing spree by Department of Fish and Game officials in the Venice canals (June 17), it is appalling that they would squander $100,000 of public funds when local residents had already established a quarantine study in association with UC Davis on the ducks at no cost to taxpayers. And where did the purported $100,000 go? It went to protect the Fish and Game wardens from old men, children and housewives.
