GLENDALE : 9 Arrested in Gasoline Theft, Credit Card Fraud

Police broke up a gasoline theft and credit card fraud ring that operated in Los Angeles County, arresting nine people, a Glendale police official said Friday.

The suspects were arrested Thursday by officers who seized computers, cellular phones, numerous counterfeit credit cards and equipment used to make phony credit cards, Glendale Police Sgt. James Fitzgerald said.

Detectives also seized loaded handguns, one of which was reported stolen, and nine vehicles.

Booked for various violations were North Hollywood residents Grigor Djaladian, 36; Mkrtich Djaladian, 34; Mike Zadikian, 22, and Abram Muradyan, 27; and Glendale residents Levon Djaladian, 23; Lev Iophe, 26; Gagik Grigorian, 45; Kristina Grigorian, 19, and Monica Grigorian, 18.

“The arrests concluded an extensive investigation involving a major gasoline theft and credit card fraud ring operating in Los Angeles County,” Fitzgerald said.

The value of the stolen gasoline was not immediately made known.
