Suspect in Armed Robbery Arrested
A Lancaster man was arrested Friday on suspicion of handcuffing a Simi Valley woman in her home two weeks ago, threatening her with a screwdriver and robbing her of $2,000, police reported.
Simi Valley police took Marshall Tyree, 23, into custody and booked him at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery, police said. Tyree, who has a criminal record, was tracked through computer analysis of similar crimes he committed in Los Angeles County and elsewhere, Simi Valley Police Lt. Neal Rein said.
Detectives served a warrant on Tyree’s home Friday morning and found a skeleton mask believed worn during the robbery and $630 in cash, police said.
