2 Killed in Explosion Tied to Making of Firecrackers

GIG HARBOR, Wash. —
A mobile home where firecrackers apparently were being assembled blew up, killing two people. The explosion Thursday killed 16-year-old Brandon James Reid and Quent Belden, 27, who owned the mobile home, authorities said. The two apparently were making large firecrackers by putting powder into cardboard tubes.
