Pakistan Not Terrorist

WASHINGTON —
The Clinton Administration has decided not to label Pakistan as a country supporting terrorism, after finding that it has reduced support for terrorist groups in India, the State Department said Wednesday.
The decision is expected to defuse tensions in relations strained since U.S. sanctions were imposed in 1990 to punish Pakistan for its nuclear weapons development.
