Rancho Palos Verdes Is Site for Soccer Clinic, Tryout

The East-West Soccer Ambassadors will stage a clinic and tryout on Sunday at Marymount College in Rancho Palos Verdes for players interested in international soccer competition.

The tryout is open to skilled players ages 10 through 18. Players will represent the United States in international youth soccer tournaments during the summer of 1994.

The clinic-tryout is from 12 to 2 p.m. A second tryout will is scheduled for Dec. 4 at the Marine Avenue soccer field in Manhattan Beach.

The North Torrance Girls Softball League will be conducting sign-ups for its 1994 season from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Columbia Park in Torrance. A second sign-up is scheduled for Nov. 20 at the same time and location.

Registration for the Torrance youth basketball program will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Torrance Parks and Recreation office, 3031 Torrance Blvd.
