Gloria Mayer has been appointed president of Friendly Hills Healthcare Network in La Habra, a physician-founded health care organization. She also retains the title of chief operating officer, which she has held since 1989. Before joining Friendly Hills, Mayer headed her own health-care consultant firm and worked at Health Management Systems Associates in Minneapolis.
