Fremont 78, Palisades 59--Guard Calvin Patterson scored 34 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the Pathfinders in a first-round City 4-A game Wednesday at Fremont. A layup by Patterson gave Fremont its biggest lead, 62-42, in the fourth quarter. A total of 41 fouls resulted in 74 free-throw attempts.
