Fire at Garden Grove Business Causes $250,000 in Damage
Flames tore through a clothes-cleaning business early Saturday, causing about $250,000 in damage, authorities said.
No injuries were reported, and investigators are still looking into the cause of the blaze, said Ellen Covey, spokeswoman for the Garden Grove Fire Department.
The fire set off an alarm at Hawk Industrial Uniforms at 11701 Anabel Ave. at 3:42 a.m., fire officials said. Flames already had burned through the roof when firefighters arrived.
Twenty-three firefighters battled the blaze, which caused about $50,000 in damage to the building and $200,000 to its contents. Four fire engines from Garden Grove and one from Santa Ana responded to the fire, officials said.
