Ford Recalls 96,300 F-Series Trucks: Owners of the 1990 and 1991 models with 7.5-liter engines are being contacted by Detroit-based Ford Motor Co. to bring their vehicles in to replace fuel return tubes for free, because of a potentially dangerous fuel-line defect that could result in a fire. The voluntary recall includes 6,000 vehicles in Canada and about 9% of the total number of F-series pickups sold in those years, a Ford spokeswoman said. At least one fire has been reported, although Ford said it knows of no injuries or traffic accidents that have resulted from the defect.
