SEASON AT A GLANCE: The setter has directed the Wolverines’ offense to near-perfection, leading Harvard-Westlake to a 13-1 record and the No. 3 ranking in Southern Section Division I. Young is considering attending UCLA, USC or Penn State.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: The 6-foot Young had excellent matches in the Wolverines’ impressive four-game victories against powerful Loyola and Mira Costa. He had 60 assists against the Cubs--who were ranked first in Division I--and 62 against Mira Costa. “He takes control of the offense and makes it work,” Coach Jess Quiroz said. “He’s our quarterback, and a real team leader.”
