Subaru Recalls 31,295 Vehicles: The auto maker said the action was taken to modify the transmission dipstick to improve ventilation on its manual transmission, all-wheel drive and four-wheel-drive Legacy, Loyale and XT-6 vehicles made between January, 1989, and September, 1992. Cherry Hill, N.J.-based Subaru of America Inc. said the recall is limited to vehicles in 19 states. California is not among them.
