BRIEFLY : Charity: Center for Vision-Impaired Sets Honor

The Center for the Partially Sighted will present its “Hope in Sight” award to James A. Thomas, a managing partner of the construction firm Maguire Thomas Partners in Los Angeles.

Thomas will be honored June 11 at the center’s annual dinner and dance at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills for his contributions to the Santa Monica-based organization, which assists people with impaired vision.

The Brentwood resident also serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Education Partnership and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
