Bridgford Foods Corp.: The Anaheim convenience-food producer reported that profit for its second fiscal quarter was up 14% to $1.6 million, or 17 cents a share, from $1.4 million, or 15 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Sales for the quarter ended April 29 increased 3% to $26.5 million from $25.7 million. For the first half of its fiscal year, the company’s profit rose 8% to $2.8 million, or 30 cents a share, from $2.6 million, or 28 cents a share, a year earlier. Six-month sales gained 4% to $54.9 million from $52.8 million.
