Home Sales Up 24% From Last Year

Southern California’s housing market recovery is in full swing with home sales up by 24% in the first five months of this year compared to the same period a year ago, according to TRW REDI Property Data, a real estate information company.

Sales of new and existing homes have now increased for 10 consecutive months, based on year-over-year comparisons, TRW REDI said. Sales were strongest in Orange County and weakest in Los Angeles.
