ON THE RIGHT TRACK

I would like to clarify a point in the article “Speed Demon” (by Peter McAlevey, May 22) which said that Ford would be facing incipient challenges at the Indianapolis 500 from Toyota. While Toyota is conducting an extensive R&D; program to determine the feasibility of competing in Indy car racing as an engine supplier, no final decision has been reached.
