10 Honda Employees Admit to Bribery: A former sales executive with American Honda Motor Co., a unit of Honda Motor Co., pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Concord, N.H., to participating in a nationwide bribery conspiracy. U.S. Atty. Paul Gagnon said 10 defendants have admitted to a scheme in which Honda executives and employees demanded bribes and kickbacks from dealers in exchange for franchises and allocations of hot-selling models, particularly the Acura. Frank Pisano of Elgin, Ill., admitted he accepted cash, gifts and a hidden ownership in a Honda dealership in Caldwell, N.J., while he was employed by American Honda as a zone manager in Denver from 1987 to 1991.
