CALABASAS : City Approves Names for 3 New Streets
After correcting some spelling, the city of Calabasas has approved the Spanish names of three new streets.
The streets--all located in the Calabasas Ranch development near the south end of Calabasas Parkway--will be called Prado de la Luna, Prado de las Estrellas and Prado de los Arboles, said City Manager Steven Harris.
City reports had listed the names as Prada de la Luna, Prada de la Arboles and Prada de la Estrella, but Harris said the spellings have been fixed.
In upcoming Calabasas business, the City Council on Wednesday will hear for the first time proposals regarding the planned Calabasas Park shopping complex, which has been both touted and opposed by residents.
Harris said he expected a large and vocal crowd at the 7:30 p.m. meeting, which will be held at A.E. Wright Middle School, 4029 N. Las Virgenes Road, in order to accommodate more people.
