What do you say to a 10-foot tall chicken?

Most folks who encountered Alcedes Andrade outside the Rose Bowl on Wednesday didn’t say anything. They just posed for pictures with the 45-year-old Brazilian.

“This is my fifth World Cup. I always go as something different,” said Andrade, who went to Mexico in 1986 dressed as a parakeet. “They wouldn’t let me in (to the game) in San Francisco.”

Why would anyone wear a hot, heavy costume dotted with the green and yellow of the Brazilian team?
