Mazda Recalls Some RX-7s: The auto maker announced the action on 12,316 of the 1993 and 1994 model sports cars to inspect and, if necessary, to replace parts in the cooling system. Mazda Motor Corp. inspectors found that the radiator cap and pressure valve can fail on some of the vehicles because of heat stress. The defect could cause the coolant to boil and spray if the engine is shut off after high-speed operation, Mazda said. After repeated instances, the problem could damage coolant hoses or cause engine fire. Mazda said owners will be notified by mail to bring their cars in for free inspection and repair.
