PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Former Cowboy Gogan Going Home

Share

Kevin Gogan is going back home. Back to where his professional life began. Back to Texas Stadium. Back on the field with the Dallas Cowboys. But when Gogan emerges on that field Sunday night for an exhibition game, it’ll be from another entrance in another uniform as a member of the Raiders and the 315-pound right guard admits it’ll be strange.

“I’m excited,” he said, “but it’ll be weird coming out on the other side. I’m going to be playing back in front of some good fans and good friends. And I’m going to be playing against some good friends who I’m going to try to knock down and out. Or maybe they’ll knock me down and out, but it’ll be fun.”

Right tackle Bruce Wilkerson sat out Friday’s practice because of a sprained foot. He’s questionable for Sunday. If Wilkerson can’t go, he’ll be replaced by Greg Skrepenak, who, ironically, injured his ankle in last year’s exhibition game at Dallas and missed the rest of the season. . . . Defensive lineman Scott Davis, out two days with a leg injury, returned to practice Friday and is expected to play Sunday. . . . Linebacker Aaron Wallace, who missed last Sunday’s exhibition opener because of a knee injury, will be back this Sunday. . . . Wide receiver Alexander Wright is expected to miss his second game because of a pulled calf muscle.
