MarkAir Again Files for Chapter 11: The low-cost Denver-based airline has returned to court for bankruptcy protection after failing to win support on economic assistance packages in Alaska and Colorado. Closely held MarkAir Inc. filed its Chapter 11 petition Friday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Anchorage, just a little over a year after emerging from another Chapter 11 proceeding. The company first sought bankruptcy protection from its debts in June, 1992. MarkAir was attempting to restructure its debts. All but one creditor, Irish aircraft-leasing concern GPA Group, had agreed to MarkAir’s revised repayment plan, said Bill Ward, vice president of administration.
