In other Golden West League games:

Servite 7, Saddleback 4--Servite (12-9, 6-4) scored five runs on four hits in the top of seventh to seal the victory. Rick Chessman threw only 56 pitches, allowing two hits before Saddleback (6-14, 2-8) scored four runs on five hits in the seventh. Rocky Berlanga had two hits, scored a run and stole a base for Servite.

Ocean View 9, Santa Ana 0--Stewart Schafnitz pitched a one-hitter, allowing a single in the seventh, and went three for three with four RBIs at the plate for Ocean View (8-13, 3-7).

In the Freeway League:

Sunny Hills 8, Buena Park 5--Greg Garand (6-1) struck out three in his fifth complete game of the season for visiting Sunny Hills (16-5, 7-3). Curtis Velotta had two hits and two RBIs and Peter Flores added two hits for Sunny Hills.

La Habra 6, Fullerton 5--Trailing, 5-4, Ronny Morales’ bases-loaded bloop single in the top of the seventh inning brought in the tying and go-ahead runs for La Habra (5-13, 2-8).

Sonora 14, Troy 2--David Haller was three for three with two RBIs for 10th-ranked Sonora (16-2-2, 8-1-1). Teammate Marc Patino had two hits and two RBIs.

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 16, Rancho Alamitos 6--Craig Kuzmic had three hits, including his eighth home run, two runs scored and he drove in five runs for first-place La Quinta (19-3, 8-0). Kuzmic is hitting .600 in league with six home runs and 21 RBIs.

Mark Ukleja had three hits, including two doubles, scored two runs, and drove in a run for La Quinta, which plays host to second-place Garden Grove Friday.

Garden Grove 6, Pacifica 5--Mike McDonald went four for four with one RBI and one run scored, Gabe Maldonado went three for four with three RBIs and Kevin Loken went two for three with one run scored for Garden Grove (10-8, 6-2).

Loken also pitched a complete game with four strikeouts.

Santiago 9, Bolsa Grande 7--Mark Mooney had two hits and two RBIs for Santiago (6-11, 3-4), which used five hits and 15 walks to take control early. Josh Price had three hits and two RBIs for Bolsa Grande.

In the Orange League:

Anaheim 4, Magnolia 3--With two outs in the top of the seventh, Lucas Sanchez singled in Jose Rodriguez to give visiting Anaheim a 4-2 lead over over league-leader Magnolia (11-5, 8-2). Anaheim (7-14, 3-7) is in last place. Sanchez also had a double.

Brea Olinda 13, Valencia 4--Matt Weyant hit a grand slam in the second inning for Brea Olinda (11-9, 6-4). Weyant finished the game with three hits and six RBIs.

Savanna 7, Western 6--Russel Hartman’s three-run double keyed a four-run fourth inning for host Savanna (7-11, 5-5).

In the Sea View League:

Irvine 9, El Toro 5--Eric Sonnenberg had two doubles and two RBIs for Irvine (16-5, 9-1). El Toro scored four unearned runs for Irvine in the sixth inning.

Newport Harbor 3, Woodbridge 1--Dan Pulido didn’t allow an earned run, struck out four and added an RBI double for host Newport Harbor (9-10, 2-8).

In the South Coast League:

Mater Dei 8, Capistrano Valley 6--Scott Daeley was two for four with two RBIs for second-ranked Mater Dei (15-4, 8-2). Mike Kolbach pitched a seven-hitter and improved to 7-1. Capistrano Valley (6-4 in league) is tied for second with Trabuco Hills.

Dana Hills 2, San Clemente 0--Scott Maynard pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts, and went two for four with one RBI for Dana Hills (9-12, 4-6).

Mission Viejo 6, Trabuco Hills 5--Brian Sepulveda had three hits, including a home run, as Mission Viejo (7-10-1, 2-8) upset Trabuco Hills (10-8-1, 6-4).
