A. Marquis Petrie, a 65-year Ventura County resident, has died. She was 77.
Petrie volunteered for several Ventura organizations, despite a 30-year fight against multiple sclerosis.
A graduate of Ventura College, she was a charter member of the philanthropic Eta Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta Phi sorority of Ventura.
She is survived by her daughter Charleen Calborn of Laguna Hills, son Keith Petrie of San Jose, sister Ruby Keith Morrison of Ojai, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Arrangements are being handled by Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura. Memorial contributions may be made to the Channel Islands chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
