Little Compassion Shown for the Dying

Share

* Well, it’s nice to know that at least the state of California has some compassion, unlike many residents of Westlake Village.

I am totally shocked and embarrassed by my Conejo Valley neighbors who are fighting Isobel Oxx’s home for the terminally ill. Apparently, the neighbors opposing this issue have never had to call a hospice or tend to the crucial needs of a dying loved one.

Where would these neighbors propose that we put their loved ones or them, if circumstances caused them to be near death?

I’ve always heard that there were snobs in Westlake Village, but I had no idea how insensitive they could be. Does “Protect thy property value” come before “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Romans 13:9)?
