French Park is one of Santa Ana’s grand old neighborhoods.

Bounded by Civic Center Drive, Washington Avenue, Bush Street and Garfield Street, it was settled in the late 1890s.

French Park boasts several Colonial revival and Craftsman-style bungalows. The area also includes a few Spanish Colonial-style apartment buildings with numerous windows.

French Park was created as a subdivision that ran parallel to railroad tracks, which is why its streets do not follow the typical grid pattern common in the rest of the city.
