City Out of Touch on Library Tax Plan
* Regarding the proposed $35 library tax for Ventura: This is the same City Council that squandered $22,000 for the removal of just-planted trees; spent more than $100,000 for cleaning the Ventura River bottom; spent more than $1 million fighting Ventura Keys homeowners.
With the deception of Proposition 172 fresh on our minds, is there anyone ready to vote for another tax? Only staff and elected officials believe so. This shows how, even at the local level, they are out of touch with the people.
