North Hollywood : Woman Dies After Car Is Rear-Ended
A 54-year-old Sepulveda woman died Monday after her car was rear-ended on the Hollywood Freeway and she was ejected from the vehicle.
Joang Doc Hoang was driving north on the freeway Sunday evening around Vineland Avenue when traffic came to an abrupt stop and her car was rear-ended, California Highway Patrol Officer Garry Goldenberg said. Hoang, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from her car.
She was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where she died at 2:15 a.m. Monday, Goldenberg said.
The driver of the car that struck Hoang’s vehicle was not cited in the accident.
