Daimler May Ask Russians to Work on Jet: Daimler-Benz Aerospace of Germany said it may seek the cooperation of the Russian aviation industry in developing a 120-seat regional jet with it and Chinese and South Korean builders. Daimler, also known as Dasa, is already conducting a joint feasibility study with Aviation Industries of China and South Korea’s Samsung Industries. It has teamed with the Chinese and South Koreans to ensure a market for such a plane within those countries, both of which are anticipating faster growth in civil aviation markets.
