Japanes Retailer, Electronics Firm End 30-Year Feud: Daiei Inc., Japan’s largest retail chain operator, with 365 stores, said that it will resume selling the products of consumer electronics giant Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. A Daiei spokeswoman said that beginning in March, 211 of its stores will start selling Matsushita products. Ties between the two were severed when Matsushita stopped shipments to Daiei in October 1964 in retaliation for Daiei’s selling Matsushita goods at lower prices than Matsushita suggested.
