Trends: Sony Corp. plans to invest in two U.S. companies that bidding for wireless licenses from the Federal Communications Commission. Because the deals haven’t been finalized, Sony wouldn’t disclose the size of the investments in U.S,. AirWaves Inc. and NextWave Telecom Inc.
