Fidelity National Financial’s Earnings, Revenue Fall in 1995

Fidelity National Financial Inc. said earnings and revenue dropped last year.
The title insurance underwriter said net earnings for 1995 fell 44% to $6.8 million, or 53 cents a share, from $12.1 million, or 74 cents a share, the previous year. Included in the 1995 year end results is a loss of $813,000 from the early retirement of senior debt. The 1994 year end results included a gain of $2.4 million. Revenue was down 17% to $409.8 million from $492.8 million.
Net income for the fourth quarter was $3.2 million, or 25 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $1.1 million, or 8 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 11% to $117.8 million from $106.4 million.
