Two Ventura men were attacked in separate incidents Monday night and Tuesday morning by golf club-wielding assailants, Ventura police said.

In the first incident, Josh Addison, 19, was attending a party in the 8000 block of Wellington Street when eight people armed with golf clubs began breaking kitchen windows and overturning potted plants near the front door, police said. The assailants forced their way inside when the front door was opened, and Addison was hit in the face with a golf club, police said.

Addison received minor injuries in the 10:53 p.m. attack Monday.

About 1 a.m. Tuesday, several people wielding golf clubs attacked a vehicle traveling on La Verne Avenue near Hunter Street, Ventura police said.
