Woman, 20, Found Dead in Car
A woman looking for her daughter stepped outside her Canyon Country home Tuesday morning, worriedly scanning the neighborhood.
From her front door, the mother saw her 20-year-old daughter’s car a few hundred feet away. In it, she found Wendy Le Tran, who had not come home the night before, slumped over the steering wheel, dead.
Dark bruises around Le Tran’s neck indicated strangulation, Los Angeles County Coroner’s Supervisor Ruben Pena said.
The car was found about 8:45 a.m. on Golden Triangle Road near Claudette Street, police said.
No further details were available.
A full autopsy is scheduled for today, Pena said.
