Datametrics Corp. Reports Higher Losses

Datametrics Corp., a Woodland Hills supplier of high-speed printers and other computer-related products, saw its losses widen in its fiscal first quarter.

In the three months ended Jan. 28, the company lost $2.27 million, compared to a year-earlier loss of $1.58 million. Its sales rose 6%, to $3.65 million from $3.45 million.

Datametrics said its financial results were hurt by the increased costs of developing and marketing a new printer.
