World IN BRIEF : AFGHANISTAN : 13 Die as Rebels Rocket Capital

Rebels fired a volley of rockets onto a busy market in central Kabul, killing 13 people. Defense Ministry officials said Islamic Taliban rebels camped south of the capital fired at least five rockets onto the market. Shrapnel from one ripped through a crowded bus, instantly killing a woman and two children, witnesses said. Taliban rebels, who control about 50% of the country, are determined to install a strict Islamic regime throughout Afghanistan.
