Simi, Ventura Sites of March of Dimes Walk
Simi Valley and Ventura are the two Ventura County sites for the annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica on April 27 and 28.
The fund-raiser supports the March of Dimes Campaign for Healthier Babies, which gives financial assistance to research and education programs that seek to prevent birth defects and infant deaths.
In Simi Valley, walkers will tackle a 10-mile route at Rancho Tapo Community Park at the Avenida Simi and Lemon Drive. In Ventura, a nine-mile ocean-view route begins at Harbor Village. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with the walk starting an hour later.
