Muskie Tribute Is Ordered

WASHINGTON —
President Clinton on Thursday ordered U.S. flags at public buildings, military posts and naval vessels flown at half-staff on Saturday in memory of Edmund S. Muskie, the former Maine senator and secretary of state who died Tuesday at age 81. The funeral for Muskie, who died after vascular surgery and a heart attack, is on Saturday in Maine.
