NEW MEXICO : Couple Weds Again After Memory Loss
A New Mexico couple has remarried, hoping that this time the bride will remember tying the knot. Kim and Krickitt Carpenter said their marital vows at a log chapel in the mountains of northern New Mexico, putting the seal on a sometimes troubled second courtship after a car accident in November 1993. Krickitt Carpenter, 26, suffered a serious head injury in the crash, which came just two months after she married Kim Carpenter, and was in a coma for a month. When she came to, she had no idea who her husband was and did not remember marrying him. Her memory loss wreaked havoc on their relationship until a therapist suggested they start from the beginning by dating.
