Courts Automate Traffic Fine Payment
Beginning today, motorists cited for traffic violations will be able to pay their fines with a credit card via a special telephone hookup at the Ventura County Courthouse.
The automated program dubbed the Interactive Voice Response System allows callers to use a telephone mounted inside the courthouse to access Superior and Municipal court cases.
The system is available 24 hours a day, although counter service will remain available during normal business hours. Callers must use a VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit card to pay fines.
A similar system will be installed at the Simi Valley Courthouse early next month.
