MAI Systems Corp.: The Irvine software, networks and professional services company posted net income of $9.5 million, or $1.13 a share, for the second quarter, which included $7.3 million from a legal settlement. That compares with net income of $2.7 million, or 34 cents a share, for the 1995 second quarter. Revenue declined 4% to $15 million from $15.6 million. First half net income doubled to $11.3 million, or $1.34 a share, from $5.5 million, or 70 cents a share, for the corresponding six months last year. Revenue declined 9% to $29.7 million from $32.8 million.
