Pontious, 8 Others Named to City Panels
The City Council has appointed nine residents to fill vacancies on four key advisory committees and commissions.
Former City Councilwoman Leslie Ann Pontious was appointed to the Planning Commission, as was incumbent member Howard Mitzman and financial manager Steve Kozak. Pontious was a councilwoman from 1990 to 1994.
On the Parks and Recreation Commission, incumbents Kenneth Eckman, Karen Hillyard and Ken Royal were returned to their seats.
An opening on the Audit Committee will be filled by John Garner, a financial executive; and resident Ian Donn and incumbent Brent Ferdig will fill two openings on the Cultural Resources Advisory Committee.
