Village Christian 24, St. Genevieve 14--Jeff Johnson completed nine of 18 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another in the Crusaders’ nonleague victory at Birmingham High.
Clifford Rivera rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown in 14 carries for the Valiants (0-2).
The Crusaders (2-0) took a 21-0 halftime lead and outgained St. Genevieve, 142-18.
Danny Buhler rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown in seven carries for the Valiants.
