Amanda Bynes is “all that” and more.

When the newest member of Nickelodeon’s all-kid comedy series “All That” showed up for the season premiere’s opening sketch recently, her fellow cast members reacted with “perky!” and “hate her!”

Bynes was being way too sweet, sucking up way too much. She even gave “Kevin the Stage Manager” a super-deluxe comfy chair with a big red button on the armrest.

And then Kevin pushed the button and was launched through the roof.

“Amanda,” said Kenan Thompson to his new cast member, “I just have one thing to say. [Big pause.] Welcome to the show!”

Bynes, a 10-year-old California native, is no newcomer to the comedy circuit.

“When I was 7, I started taking a comedy class for kids at the Comedy Store in Hollywood,” said Bynes, whose favorite comic actors are Jim Carrey and Lucille Ball. “Then when I was 9, I went to the Laugh Factory for another comedy class.”

“All That” producers caught her act at the Laugh Factory’s graduation night and invited her to interview for the show.

“For the interview, I did my comedy act about what it’s like to get the same teacher as your wonderful brother. They thought it was funny. I was, like, so excited when they told me I was going to be on the show.”

“All That,” now in its third season, is a hit with Nickelodeon fans. The 30-minute show tapes before a live audience in Los Angeles and features young comedians Bynes and Thompson, along with Lori Beth Denberg, Katrina Johnson, Alisa Reyes, Josh Server and Kel Mitchell.

The show is also a showcase for hip-hop musicians. LL Cool J appeared recently, and Montel Jordan, Immature, A Tribe Called Quest and 112 are scheduled to pop in this season. There’s also an “All That” soundtrack that features hip-hop artists TLC (they do the show’s theme song), Immature, Brandy, Coolio, Naughty by Nature, Soul for Real, Aaliyah and Faith.

The cast, despite acting annoyed with Bynes in the opening sketch, really digs the new kid.

“She’s really nice. I like her a lot,” Thompson said. “She’s very talented, and she’s cute.”

Bynes has another fan in cast member Denberg.

“I don’t like her at all,” said Denberg, 20, in her usual sarcastic tone. “No, just kidding. Amanda is really, really good. I haven’t had that much experience with 10-year-olds. But she just did it right.”

Denberg also was discovered by producers while doing a comedy routine, but for her, it was at a theater festival. She was then 17.

“It was such a goof. Next thing I knew, I was on a plane to go do the pilot,” she said.

Denberg, whose “Vital Information” sketch features her views on the macarena (“Macarena, macarena, macarena. Oh, how I hate the macarena!”) and dating advice (never discuss “loogies” on the first date), explains why the show is so popular.

“Our show isn’t written down to kids,” she says. “It’s not dopey. It’s not an easy laugh. What you think is going to happen never does. It’s what you would never dream of in a million years that does happen.”

That kind of explains where the once-sweet Bynes got the idea to launch their stage manager through the roof, doesn’t it?
